It is based on the book of the same name. The title is a reference to the sexual act of ejaculating on the face ('Harry' or 'Harry Monk' is cockney rhyming slangfor spunk and 'boat' - or 'boat race' - is Cockney rhyming slang for 'face').

"Is Harry on the Boat?" was a mix of fast-paced drama, sex and comedy. It was set in Ibiza and focused on the adventures of a group of holiday reps catering for an 18-30s' market

The Tv series continues in the same spirit as the film, following the tour reps of the young free & single in Ibiza. The Tv Series cast was completly changed to the film
